Last Sunday, I was featured on ABS-CBN’s Wonder Mom. It is a 30-minute TV show every weekend at 9:30 am (Philippine time). Hosted by Karen Davila, a known news anchor in the Philippines, the show presents interesting and valuable stories on the greatest people on earth — our Mom. Here’s what my my mom says about the show:
I watched your pilot episode last 05 July and I was so impressed. Finally, a “real” show for mothers by a mother. The 30-minute episode is very informative, educational, and addictive especially for first-time moms like me. Actually, my husband also enjoyed the show & she even woke me up on Sunday just for me to catch up the part2 ep. I also commended the very rich visual of the show; I know it took a lot of creative juices/hardwork to come up with “scrapbooking theme”, but it was really unique and an eye-candy. Karen Davila is also perfect for the show. I’ve never seen her host an infotainment show before, and I think she did her best on this.
I admit I am a big fan already! We’ve never missed any single episodes since then. I hope you could feature someday on babies learning sports or other educational/entertaining activities for 0-year old baby.
Thanks for brightening my weekends and on helping me be a wonder mom for my Little Karl!
Btw, the little feature had Ms. Davila thanking my mom for the nice review and showing one of my cute pictures taken from this site. She also mentioned how great my mom is for putting this website. Once again, congratulations to Wonder Mom and all the best!

On Father’s Day, we went to Greenbelt in Makati City, Philippines to unwind and have fun. We first attended the Sunday mass where I had a nice sleep. Before the mass ended, the priest asked all the fathers to come forward for the blessing and offering of prayer. I also came forward since Dad been carrying me, thus also got the the blessings. Good thing, Dad says, I’m a big boy. I did not cry when we were in front.
Afterwards, we walked at the park nearby. Dad then showed me this big, black and strong animal called “carabao”. I learned later that it the national animal of the Philippine, and is quite known for being hardworking and a BIG help among local farmers. Dad let me rode the Carabao and I was not that scared since I know Dad would never left me. By the way, Mom’s not in the picture since she’s busy taking photo of our father-son moments.
Happy Father’s day to all Dad in the world!

I had my first time in the water last Saturday. Dad and Mom took me to my first swimming lesson in Montevista Spring Resort in Los Banos, Laguna.
At first I was scared seeing the place with too much water. You see, I got used to my baby tub which Mom used to bath me. I have no idea there’s this really BIG tub called “pool”. But all the scary thoughts disappeared when my body touched the water. It was warm just like my bathing water. And since it’s so big it has still a room for my Mom & Dad.
The three of us enjoyed the water. I moved my hands and feet, and my parents were very happy to see me this excited. I even heard them saying I could be a swimmer when I grow up.
It was a really fun experience. And I hope we can have our own “BIG” tub someday.

I am two months and two weeks now!
If you haven’t noticed I changed a lot. You can surely catch my smiles unlike before that you’ll need some incredible antics to catch my attention or wait for a very long time. Remember that time when my dad missed my smile because he’s sleeping? Now that would not happen because I always smile especially when you smile first.
Also, I am quite a talker now. I enjoyed it when my mom read me a betime story because I have all the time to listen to different voices, mostly from changing characters though it puzzled me sometimes because it is only my mom who is talking. And when I wake up early in the morning, I will spread my arms and legs to Dad’s direction to wake him up. And when he does, he will talk to me which will stop only when he prepares for office.
But above all, I can already play with you! Lola and Lola enjoyed taking good care of me when my parents were at work because I am so kind and playful. While playing with me, Lola’s neigbour saw me in my jolly mode and was delighted to play with me too. She even asked my grandparents to take care of me when their tired. But she does not know Lolo and Lola are full of energy when I’m around.
Until here. How are you? Tell me also your stories when we meet!

To remind visitors that they are in my place, my parents reinvented my room’s interior. What’s a better way to do this than the photo collage my parents did?

And oh, I am so excited when my mom showed it to me for the very first time. No doubt, it’s Little Karl’s room. Thanks mom & dad!

Hello, how are you?
Of course, by now you already knew me. But for first-time visitor, I think an introduction is needed. My name is Karl Isaac. You can call me “Karl” or “Zac” or simply “Baby”. But do you know I’ve got so many names — funny names, lovable names, and even yucky names. I heard those from my mom & dad. And even though I do not know what each means yet, I trust my gut-feel they are reflective of my personality. Or perhaps of my parents ingenuity.
To know more about those names, please click here.

Standing at 1,020 feet above sea level, my dad and I enjoyed view of the metropolis. City lights looked like stars from up above, except that they are of various colors. I saw cars, buildings, airplanes, and some objects new to my eyes. But my dad was quick to explain those “alien” things. He just watched my eyes and when he sensed excitement on something I stared at, he was ready to name them for me. It was a really fun learning experience!

They will never forget that day. In the company of family and friends, I made my first recognizable word. The word is MAMA. I did it after waiting so long for my mom to breastfeed me since she took a bath. I cried so hard, and few seconds after I sensed my mom is actually near me & I’m about to have my milk I uttered that word. Everyone in the room who heard me could not help but be surprised and happy as well. But the proudest and happiest of them all was–obviously–my mom!
It was on 25 March 2008 at exactly 4:35 pm. I was 1 month and 17 days old then.

Who are you? Why do you look like me and why are you looking at me? When I smile you also smile, when I frown you also frown, when I cry you also cry. You can actually do what I do.
Ooppss, I heard my mommy calling me. I should raise my hand so she could recognize me from the copycat Karl. Hey put down your hands, you are not me!
