Z for Zebra

Zzzzebra

Aside from being the last in the alphabet chart, Zebra is popular for its weird stripes. Was it  black stripes over white? Or white stripes over a black body? Whichever, I knew Zebra are friendly animal too. They are full of energy, wild, and very playful.

Meet my Future Best Bud!

Bwst Buddy Moment

Here’s the closest I could get to my future best buddy. He’s a dog and as far as I know my parents would not let me go near one due to potential allergy issue. But I know when I’m big enough, they will let me play with this friendly and nice fellow.

Little Karl Meets Baby Panda

I love Giant Panda!

Meet my new friend. He’s also a baby like me and he seems to love me too. His name is Geoffrey, a giant panda which can be found in China. He has a black-and-white coat. His fur is soft, hairy and very cuddly. Sadly, I learned that my poor buddy is now considered an endangered species. I hope I could do something to help him.

Dad and Mom said it is good for me to meet all sorts of animals because they’re fun to be with.  And sometimes, they can be a people’s best friend.

5 Things I Could Not Resist (so far) on my Fifth Month

  1. Ding-dong sound - Everyone who knew me knows that the easy way to make me smile is to say that magic word, “Ding-dong”, in your most unique ways. You can simply add it in any sentence, and it will be a sure hit to me (ex., Here’s your milk Little Karl, ding-dong!).
  2. Incey-wincey spider song with action - Want to get my attention? Just sing Incey-Wincey along with hand action, and we’re instant playmates. Watch out and keep it a little slow though because I am imitating your moves.
  3. Knorr commercial - I don’t know what’s with this jingle, but everytime I heard that “makulay ang buhay sa sinabawang kulay” I can’t keep my eyes off our TV. I guess because it’s so sing-able and dance-able.
  4. Yummy Baby food - When it’s eating time, do not disturb me. Lolo and lola had a great time feeding me because I am very matakaw raw. My favorites so far are “rice cereal” and “mashed potato”. They are so yummy!
  5. My walker - I am learning to walk now. And it’s really good to move from places to places. I love so much this thing that you can leave me there for hours without getting bored.

Peek-a-Boo

Hi everyone! This week I discovered a fun game called peek-a-boo. Since we could not go out of our house because of strong wind and heavy rain (Typhoon Frank) last Sunday, we just stayed in our bed all day long. While playing with me, Dad instantly disappeared. I could not see him nor hear him anymore. All of a sudden, his face magically appeared from underneath the blanket while saying the magical word “Peek-a-boo”. Dad repeated this trick many times and I couldn’t help to giggle everytime he appeared and said the magic word.

I really love this game, and I had a great time! Someday I hope to play this game with you too.

Closet Kids

img_4407.jpg

I found a new tambayan — the closet, which I discovered out of crying.

Dad was so desperate and challenged to pacify me & have tried new songs and new rock-a-bye-baby steps but was not successful. For no reason at all, he then walked me to this huge cabinet and once inside I suddenly fell asleep. Outside my new haven, Kuya Kokoy & Ate Guen could not find me until Dad popped open the door. They were suprised to find me inside and joined me there until I wake up.

My name is…

Hello, how are you?

Of course, by now you already knew me. But for first-time visitor, I think an introduction is needed. My name is Karl Isaac. You can call me “Karl” or “Zac” or simply “Baby”. But do you know I’ve got so many names — funny names, lovable names, and even yucky names. I heard those from my mom & dad. And even though I do not know what each means yet, I trust my gut-feel they are reflective of my personality. Or perhaps of my parents ingenuity.

Skyline

img_4406.jpg

Standing at 1,020 feet above sea level, my dad and I enjoyed view of the metropolis. City lights looked like stars from up above, except that they are of various colors. I saw cars, buildings, airplanes, and some objects new to my eyes. But my dad was quick to explain those “alien” things. He just watched my eyes and when he sensed excitement on something I stared at, he was ready to name them for me. It was a really fun learning experience!

Not that Good Day

I had my scheduled immunization (DTaP) yesterday, 26 March 2008. The doctor had her usual BIG needles but this time she injected it on my both legs. I was really scared, I cried a lot. Afterwards, I was not feeling well anymore. My temperature was a little high, I felt weak, and I completely lost my appetite. All I did was to sleep all day. But my mom’s not that worried because she knew those were normal reactions to vaccine. How I wish I’ll be strong again so I could play and be merry all day… :(
To know more about DTaP and what’s it for, you may click this link.
