FAMILY = Father and Mother I Love You!
What else is more beautiful than a loving family whom you love, and loves you in return. My father loves my mother. My mother loves my father. They both love me. And I love them too.
I could not wish for more. Hope the same is true to your family.

Today, the Ilagan family is having a reunion in Marinduque, Philippines. “Ilagan” is Dad’s maternal family name which originated from Buenavista, Marinduque. The reunion coincides with Lolo Pol’s 60th birthday, the eldest among Lola Alice siblings.
Most of my relatives, including my little cousins will go there and I guess it would be a very BIG celebration. Although I wanted to go there, I cannot since my parents said I am too young for a very long travel. Maybe next year…

Lolo & Lola arrived from Dubai last night after two weeks vacation. They went there to visit Tita Q and celebrate with her birthday last April 25.
They really had a great time there. They visited Dubai’s top beaches, parks, museums, malls, and hotels. Also, they finally met Tita Q’s friends who are really kind and very accomodating.
This morning, I went early to Lolo & Lola’s house and they were very happy to see me again. They said I really gained weight and bigger than before. They have so many stories and I can’t wait to hear them all. Also they’ve got me a pasalubong, a nice souvenir shirt of the coming Olympics in Beijing (Actually, it was Tita Q who personally chose that for me!)
Welcome home Lolo & Lola. It was so nice to see you again.

Today, May 5, is my mom’s birthday. My Dad and I are planning a little surprise for her and I wish she’ll like love it.
By the way, her birthday coincides with their wedding anniversary. Last year, at exactly 4:00 pm Mom & Dad shared a common vow to love and take care of each others for better or for worse until lifetime.
Happy birthday mom. I promise to be good and sweet always so you’ll be proud of me. We love you so much!

Congratulations to Tito J-an for passing the Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination held last April 26-27, 2008. He is one among the 642 passers from 1,742 hopefuls (Source: Manila Bulletin, 29 April 2008)
I really knew you can do it. And I think I am your lucky charm because I am beside you all the time while you are preparing for the exam — you took care of me while reading your review books. That was quite a multitasking but you did it well.
Congrats again Engineer Tito J-an and to all other board passers! (You can view list of “new” engineers here)

Tito Boyet, mom’s younger brother, graduated last 18 April 2008. Lola Eda and Tito Jeric came with him in the graduation ceremony afterwards the celebration followed in our favorite place — in Dampa (somewhere in Roxas Boulevard). Soon, he will join the elite club of country’s top nurses widely recognized worldwide.
Congratulations Tito Boyet and good luck! We are so proud of you!

In the absence of Lolo and Lola, Tito Jay-an substituted as my immediate guardian while Dad & Mom are in the office. He is Dad’s younger brother and many said we are lookalike. He always plays with me and the first one to carry me when I have my tantrums.
Today, he will take an engineering licensure examination. I know he can do it and I will pray for it. Tito Jay-an, I wish you goodluck!

Kumusta po ulit kayo!
After a year, my parents wedding video will be completed. It took that long because they are very selective. They got married on 05 May 2007 at the San Sebastian Church in Manila. And as you know, I was born nine months after that.
The concept of the video is more of a past-present-future theme. The past will show moments of Dad and Mom prior to their wedding while the present will show shots of the wedding itself. Lastly, the future will be entirely devoted to me, with my videos and pictures from the day I was born up to now. One of the pictures to appear is this one which is my favorite.
To know more on my parents dream wedding, you may visit their wedsite or view some picture-perfect shots.

Yesterday Lolo Joe and Lola Alice left to Dubai to visit Tita Queency, who is working there as a flight attendant in Emirates. It is their first out-of-the-country trip and they are both excited. And since it’s a peak season for passengers they went to the airport 24 hours ahead of their expected departure, however they were not fortunate to secure a seat due to long queue of waitlisted passengers. On their next try they were lucky enough, and when I woke up this morning I heard the news from Dad that they’re actually in another country right now. This is an excerpt of dad’s text (note: he’s joking on the last part):
Nasa Dubai na sina Mama with Q. Nagpapapix na sila now sa mga camel & dumakot na si mama ng buhangin sa desert para gawing souvenir.
Bon voyage Lolo and Lola! Hope you will have an enjoyable stay there. I will miss you!
