Yesterday, Mom decided to enter me in some baby contest. She said, it does not matter whether I win or lose as long as I have tried. It’s true, you will never know the taste of the pudding unless you take a bite. Good thing I’ve learned this first-hand from my Mom. It makes me brave enough to try many things — like the one shown in the picture where I made my initial attempt to crawl.

Anyway, wish me luck!

Dad, happy father’s day! Thanks for a lot of things. For carrying me without getting tired or bored. For buying me wonderful toys. For taking me out for a walk every morning. For singing me some grown-up songs. For playing with me all the times. For reading me my fave stories. For letting me fall to sleep at night. For pacifying me when others around could not.

Above all, for taking good care of mommy and me and for loving us always.

To welcome me in the Christian world, my Mom and Dad scheduled my baptismal on 08 June 2008 11:00 in the morning, at the Parish of Saints Peter and Paul, Makati City.

The Parish of Sts. Peter and Paul is located at 5539 D.M. Rivera cor. Burgos Street, Poblacion, Makati City, just across Makati Avenue and near Rockwell Center. It is an old yet beautiful church, where my parents used to attend mass during their college days.

Lunch immediately follows after the baptismal ceremony at the Barrio Fiesta (Makati Avenue Branch), Makati Ave. cor Valdez St., Makati City. It is a wonderful restaurant that serves local Philippine dishes, and is quite famous for its “Singing Cooks and Waiters”.

Perhaps. And time will tell. Right now, I will just stay sweet and charming, drink lots of milk, smile all the time, learn new antics, enjoy the attention from my family, and love them in return.

Today, May 5, is my mom’s birthday. My Dad and I are planning a little surprise for her and I wish she’ll like love it.

By the way, her birthday coincides with their wedding anniversary. Last year, at exactly 4:00 pm Mom & Dad shared a common vow to love and take care of each others for better or for worse until lifetime.

Happy birthday mom. I promise to be good and sweet always so you’ll be proud of me. We love you so much!

While waiting for Mom from the office, my Dad watched “An Inconvenient Thruth” via HBO. The documentary by Al Gore, ex-vice President of the United States of America, explains the science of global warming. It shows different ways to  reverse the effects of global climate change.

After the show, Dad told me an important lesson to protect the one earth we all share. Since I wanted to have a better place to live when I grow up, I made a vow to be an earth-friendly kid starting now. I signed up with GreenKiddos.com to become the youngest earth savers in the world, and posted this comment on their “how to save the world” tips:

“Whenever my mom and dad go to the grocery, we always bring our paper bag and use it to save plastic use. I want to be an earth-friendly kid myself so I could have a better place when I grow up…”
